IN 2015 THE POPULATION OF THE AFRICAN LION WAS ESTIMATED AT ABOUT 20,000 ANIMALS!
The African Lion has disappeared from 94% of its historic range and is now found only in parts of sub-Saharan Africa.
But among African Lions, there is a particularly endangered genetic rarity: the WHITE LION!
There is currently no law, either nationally or internationally, to protect White Lons from being wiped off the face of the earth.
Furthermore, these South African lions have been classified as "least concern" by the bureaucrats of CITES (Convention for the International Trade in Endangered Species).
The consequences of this unforgivable stupidity:
The demand for Lion parts/bones from both captive and wild lions has increased, putting Lions at even greater risk of extinction!
